Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Clearvia Pte. Ltd. handles personal data when you use Clearvia, its API, its MCP server and our websites.
Last updated: 14 October 2026
1. Who we are
Clearvia is provided by Clearvia Pte. Ltd., a private limited company incorporated in Singapore ("Clearvia", "we", "us"). We handle personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) and, where they apply to you, other data protection laws such as the EU and UK GDPR.
2. Using Clearvia without an account
You can browse the catalog, plan a stack, check a repository and use the public API and the MCP server without an account. We don't need to know who you are, and we don't build profiles of visitors.
Requests and logs
Like any website, our servers receive your IP address, browser or client details and the address you request. We use them to deliver the Service, enforce rate limits and protect against abuse, and keep operational logs for a limited period.
Planner inputs
What you enter in the planner is kept in the page address, so you can share a plan, and is sent to our API to compute the plan. We don't save plans. Like any requested address, it can appear in operational logs for a limited period.
Repository check
Files you send are processed in memory to recognise the services they mention, and are not stored. Values are used only to recognise hosts and are never returned. Send .env.example rather than a real .env.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar storage that are needed to remember your language and theme and, if you sign in, to keep your session secure. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. When you contact us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your email address, your message and any details you add, such as your company, your role and the providers you use. We store the request and forward it to our team by email so that we can reply. We use it to respond, to follow up on your request and, when you report an error, to correct the catalog.
4. Accounts and paid plans
If you create an account, for example for saved stacks or a paid plan, we process your name, email address, sign-in methods (such as connected identity providers, passkeys and two-factor settings), organization memberships and roles, preferences, and your sessions and security events. For paid plans we keep your plan, subscription status, billing contact and invoice history. Card and payment details are collected by our payment processor or merchant of record; we don't receive full card numbers.
5. How we use data
We use personal data to:
- provide, secure and improve the Service, and prevent abuse;
- respond to messages and corrections;
- create and secure accounts and process payments, where you have them;
- send service email, such as sign-in links, security notices and changes to our terms; and
- meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.
6. Providers in the catalog
The catalog is about companies and the plans they publish. To collect and re-check evidence we read public pages, and we don't collect personal data about individuals from them. Our checker identifies itself as ClearviaZeroBot. If someone at a provider contacts us about a listing, we handle their details as described in section 3.
7. Processors and sharing
We share personal data only with providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Cloudflare: hosting, compute, databases, rate limiting and logs. Data involved: request data, contact requests and account data.
- An email delivery provider: forwarding contact requests and sending account email. Data involved: email addresses, names and message content.
- A payment processor or merchant of record, if you buy a paid plan: checkout, subscriptions, invoices and tax. Data involved: billing contact, plan and payment details.
We may also disclose personal data when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, subject to this policy.
Links to providers take you to their own sites, which have their own privacy policies. A referral link may tell the provider that you came from Clearvia.
8. International transfers
Our processors may handle data outside Singapore, including on Cloudflare's global network. When we transfer personal data outside Singapore, we take steps to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, such as contractual commitments from the recipient.
9. Retention
- Operational logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
- Contact requests are kept while we handle them and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can follow up. You can ask us to delete yours.
- Account data is kept while your account is open. After you close your account, we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for legal, tax, billing or security purposes.
10. Security
We protect personal data with technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, encryption of stored secrets, access controls and rate limits. No system is completely secure. If a data breach occurs, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission and affected individuals where the law requires it.
11. Your choices and rights
You can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you and how it has been used, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw consent to uses that rely on consent. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, such as to object to or restrict processing, or to receive your data in a portable format. If you have an account, you can update most account data yourself in the console and delete your account from Account settings → General.
To make a request, email legal@clearvia.app. We may need to verify your identity. We respond as soon as reasonably possible, generally within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission or the data protection authority where you live.
12. Children
Clearvia is a service for developers and businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify account owners by email. If this policy is translated, the English version prevails in case of any inconsistency.
